The Spruce: We Asked Frequent Hosts What They Always Do After the Party Ends

Repurpose Your Party Decor

Wondering what to do with any florals or decorations you may have purchased for your get-together once everyone goes home? Repurpose them to liven up your home for your own family to enjoy.

Purvi Padia, founder of the tabletop company House of REVELRY, gathers leftover flowers from throughout her space and styles them all in a large vessel that she then displays in her living room. She's even used leftover items including flowers, melted candles, and more to create a DIY table runner.

Take Notes

Padia also likes to jot down some quick reflections after a party in order to remember what went well and what she might like to change for the future. That way, it's easy to keep track of ideas to be used the next time she hosts, she says.
